Saintly Living

Paul’s letter to the Ephesians is considered to be one of the most profound and influential letter ever penned, second only to Romans in its theological and practical scope. From the first few words, Paul begins to detail the spiritual blessings of every Christian believer or as he referenced in his letter, “…to the saints who are in Ephesus, and the faithful in Jesus Christ.”

Another name for Christian is “saint” which means “holy men and women”. If you are “in Christ” you’ve been chosen, you have every spiritual blessing needed for your spirit, soul, and body; for the past, present, and future; for salvation and service; for time and eternity, both now and forever. God chose you dear one for Himself, a people to be His own special possession, what an honor! (1 Pet. 2:9,10)

Yet many Christians don’t realize the rich “spiritual blessings” they have in Christ Jesus. Perhaps it’s time we start living like it and remember who we are and what we possess in Christ.

Lord, we thank you for your great redeeming love, great mercy, and great grace that you’ve bestowed on us. Help us draw closer to you today than yesterday, help us realize that our promises from you will not pass away like earthly blessings and your spiritual blessings will endure for eternity. Forgive our unbelief and wandering hearts and draw us ever closer to you Lord. Thank you for strengthening us as we strive to live for you daily and most of all for saving our depraved souls. For its in the precious name of Jesus that we pray and ask, Amen.
